The works in the art gallery

With over one hundred works to its credit, the Pinacoteca Comunale Francesco Tabusso pursues the objective of reconstructing the Piedmontese artistic panorama of the second half of the twentieth century.
Although drawing from a geographically limited territory, the quality of the works on display corresponds perfectly to the greatness of the Masters who created them and to the freshness and topicality of their aesthetic vision.
The permanent exhibition, the result of the professionalism of the architect Massimo Venegoni and the sensitivity of the curator Marco Marzi, is divided into two distinct thematic rooms: in the first, the works focused on conceptual and abstract art are exhibited; in the second, larger, are collected the canvases and sculptures that decline the wide range of the figurative.

Among the various gems that embellish the Tabusso Art Gallery, we would like to point out, for their originality and spectacular nature, the Cane di Bombarda, full expression of the artistic maturity of our Honorary Citizen, the preparatory cartoon Ultimo atto, executed by Sergio Albano for a fresco created inside the Municipality of Grugliasco in 2001 and the engraving Ante litteram by the great Maestro Felice Casorati. Finally, the works of Giacomo Soffiantino, Tino Aime, Gino Balzola, Enrico Colombotto Rosso, Guglielmo Meltzeid, Walter Grassi, Sandro Lobalzo, Vinicio Perugia, Luciano Spessot, Ivo Bonino e Gabriele Garbolino Rù

The charm of the permanent collection is matched by the variety of personal and retrospective exhibitions organized in the area set aside for the exhibitions, always in the name of a correct and exhaustive construction of the Piedmontese artistic scene from the post-war period to the present
